We are proud to offer several funding opportunities aimed at creating brighter tomorrows:

Annual Christmas Sponsorship

  • What: $2,000 Visa Gift Card for holiday gifts for children.

  • When: Annually on December 20th.

  • Requirements:

    • Family must reside in one of the seven cities of Hampton Roads, Virginia: Portsmouth, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Newport News, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, or Hampton.

Annual Back-to-School Giveaway

  • What: $2,000 Visa Gift Card for school-related items (books, clothing, shoes, coats, lunch money, etc.).

  • When: Annually on August 31st.

  • Requirements:

    • Child/children must be between the ages of 4 and 18.

    • Family must reside in one of the seven cities of Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Biennial Educational Tuition Assistance

  • What: $2,000 Visa Gift Card to support tuition for homeschooling, private schooling, online schooling, college, or trade school.

  • When: Every two years on August 31st.

  • Requirements:

    • Child must be between the ages of 4 and 18.

    • Family must reside in one of the seven cities of Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Quadrennial Veterinary Education Grant

  • What: $8,000 for undergraduate education to pursue a career as a veterinarian.

  • When: Every four years on January 16th. The first funding begins on January 15th, 2026.

  • Requirements:

    • Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 19.

    • Proof of enrollment or acceptance into a program is required.

    • This is a one-time lifetime gift; recipients cannot reapply.

Biennial Arts Program Sponsorship

  • What: $2,000 Visa Gift Card for programs in the arts, including but not limited to:

    • Musical Technology or Artistry

    • Performing Arts

    • Visual Arts (Painting, Architecture, Decorative Arts)

    • Creative Art Forms (e.g., sports such as basketball, ballet, gymnastics).

  • When: Every two years on June 5th.

  • Requirements:

    • Applicants must be between the ages of 7 and 19.

    • Must reside in one of the seven cities of Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Selection Process

All participants will be randomly selected by the board members of the Yolanda Jackson Foundation, founded on April 22, 2024. This random selection process ensures fairness, giving every applicant an equal opportunity to benefit from these funding programs.
