A Force to Be Reckoned With

Youlanda Jackson is a steadfast advocate for children, dedicating her life to protecting those whose voices have been silenced by harm, abuse, and malicious intent. Known for her tireless efforts, she has become a pillar of her community, volunteering at food banks, assisting the elderly with transportation to medical appointments, and collaborating with various organizations to accomplish meaningful goals. Her ability to coordinate activities and delegate tasks with precision has left a lasting impact on those she serves.

Guided by God’s grace each morning, Youlanda is determined to be the voice for children who rely on her strength. She understands the harsh realities some children face—where the pressures of home, abuse, or malnutrition strip away their innocence, leaving them vulnerable to manipulation, bullying, and even gang involvement.

The tragedy that reshaped Youlanda’s mission occurred on April 2, 2024, when her beloved niece, Yolanda Jenise Jackson—lovingly known as Nook or Bones—was senselessly murdered in Portsmouth, Virginia. This premeditated act of gang violence took place mere yards from her mother's home on a bright, sunny day, shattering the lives of all who loved her.

From that moment, Youlanda vowed to honor her niece’s memory by standing against the violence that endangers innocent lives. She is relentless in her fight to prevent the loss of more children to gang violence and serves as the voice that makes the difference. Her advocacy ensures that every child affected by such brutality has someone standing in their corner, demanding change and justice.

Youlanda is also unwavering in her pursuit of accountability for those involved in her niece’s death, promising they will face the consequences of their actions through the justice system. She remains a beacon of hope and resilience, working every day to create a safer future while honoring the legacy of her cherished niece. Justice will prevail
